Playing Video Games Once Again...

...me, that is! Well, actually, both K and me. Remember how K's been on a "I'm too tired to play video games" kick for a while (hence the Star Trek marathons)? Well, ever since Atlus announced that the Demon's Souls multiplayer servers are going offline the end of the month, he's been on a huge kick to not only finish the game, but finish it three times, earn the Platinum trophy, and start a new character so he can help his friend Shawn play through it as well.

Demon's Souls - multiplayer help with friendly blue phantoms
Farewell, friendly multiplayer blue phantoms! Your help will be sorely missed.
As for me, I haven't touched a video game since Okamiden for Nintendo DS came out last year. But K jailbroke our PSPs so that we could install the English patch for our copies of Monster Hunter Portable 3rd from Japan, and now I can't put it down. K's actually a little alarmed that I'll overwhelmingly surpass him again in Monster Hunter since I focus all my attentions on one game, while he has plenty of other options to choose from. Bwahahaha, stop me if you can, my dear!

Holy crap, angry flower dinosaur on the rampage! Run for your lives!!!
To keep things interesting, I'm deliberately choosing weapons I've never played before, like the new switch axe (switches between an axe and sword form factor) and the light bowgun (potentially expensive to manage your ammo supply, but the min-maxer in me researched that it's pretty powerful/fun in this game). I'm definitely trying to avoid full-blown addiction mode by keeping busy with craft projects and other pursuits. However, I know that things are going to get crazy once Dexter arrives, so there's kind of a hard stopping point I gotta beat. Hmm, I wonder if there's a nursing pillow that allows you to breastfeed and play video games... (Kidding, kidding!)

I'd think you'ld be able to play on your PSP as well as breastfeed... with a decent nursing pillow and a bit of practice :-)

I've managed to read tons while both mine were breastfeed and I even sewed up some felt tree decorations for presents last year...

Is that possible?! I have this horrible image of the baby rolling right off because I don't have at least one hand behind him. Maybe K can hold the baby in place so I can have full use of both hands... ^_~

Get thee a sling! Babywearing can free up your hands for a great many activities!

I've heard of such devices... even better, I hope one day they'll invent hovercraft bassinets that can follow you around the house wherever you go. ^_~

I have plenty of pictures of my hubby with the baby propped on his chest while playing the PS3 or on the computer. You'll be surprised at what you'll be able to multi-task.

Haha, right now I still need at least one hand on Dexter because he likes to randomly de-latch, so the most I can do is text one-handed. Someday...
