News Flash: V-day Puts Pause on Crunching

Remember how I said K's colleagues are all a bunch of workaholics? Check out this funny exchange they had just the other day.

Bill: ...and there's still that showstopper on level 2 to fix. Too bad we can't come into work this weekend.
Ben: Yeah, it completely sucks.
K: Why, what's happening this weekend?
Bill: Dude, are you serious?
Ben: It's ok, he'll find out soon enough. Leave him to his doom.
Bill: Don't tell me you forgot about Valentine's Day.
K: Oh yeah. I knew that.
Ben: My wife would kill me if I forgot the big V-day.
Bill: Babysitter for the kids - check. Reservations for expensive restaurant - check.
Ben: I mean, our house would be a nuclear war zone for at least 2 weeks.
K: ...

That night, K came home and gave me a huuuuge "I'm so glad you're not like that" hug. We're not the type to make a big deal out of Valentine's Day, wedding anniversary, engagement anniversary, first-time-we-kissed anniversary, etc. For us, it's just an excuse to have a date night, which is plenty fine by me. And now we have the added bonus of no crunching this weekend! Yay for this silly, Hallmark-fueled holiday. ^_~
